Was rewatching Part 1 of The Riot Starts Here which we premiered over a year ago at the gallery! I'm still fascinated by this project.
FORE is the group exhibition up at the Studio Museum now, Caitlin Cherry a talented artist in her own right is the sister to one of our good friends and up & coming filmmaker Matthew Cherry.
I had tea with one of my favorite persons the other night, the beautiful creative fashion writer Chioma Nnadi and we were discussing Afri-pop, Solange Knowles new video and the article that inspired it.
Chioma wrote an article a few years ago about The Sapeurs when she was the Style Editor at the Fader Magazine. Solange read that blog post and tracked down those men in the congo.
